I have lots of hispanic friends that I want to prepare authentic horchata for. I’ve never tried it before but I do cook Mexican food very often from their recipes. I wanted to do this one on my own though. Can you help with an authentic recipe?

Can you help me find a recipe?

Recently I saw a new recipe book by Pillsbury and I wanted to go get and it wasn’t there. It was recipes for appetizers and deserts. For this season. They have a recipe that I would so much like to have. It is called Blueberry Pudding Pie. I they said you can top it off with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon. That is all I know but if you have the book and have the recipe can you please share it with me!! It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

What is a good recipe for a sugar-free strawberry topping?

February 2nd, 2009
Susan asked:

I have a recipe for sugar-free rhubarb cake, which I want to make make into cupcakes. In order to make them more exciting, I would like to have a strawberry-based topping for the cupcakes, but I can’t find any recipes for something like that besides a basic strawberry sauce, which I am afraid would be too drippy. Are there good, sugar-free strawberry recipes that would be good on top of cupcakes, since frosting is pretty much out?

Recipe for peanut butter and milk chocolate center cookies?

crystalcricket asked:

A cookie bakery kiosk in the mall sold peanut butter cookies that were chewy and round and had a big chunck of milk chocolate in the center. The bakery left the mall so I can’t get my fix and I’d love to have the recipe.

Recipe for a cookie made with a choc cake mix, cream cheese, rolled into balls and rolled in powdered sugar?

library girl asked:

You chill the dough and roll it into balls and then into powdered sugar before baking. When they bake they “break” open and look dry on the outside and moist inside. I can’t find my recipe and need it for a cookie exchange this weekend. I hope you can help.

If a recipe calls for ground thyme, can I substitute it with italian seasoning?

January 31st, 2009
tinakay_83 asked:

I am making italian roast beef sandwiches for dinner tonight and it calls for me to simmer the beef for 3-4 hours in a dutch oven. The recipe calls for ground thyme but all I have is italian seasoning flakes, which has thyme and oregano in it. Would this substitution work, and would I need to change anything in the recipe, which calls for me to add 1 tsp. of thyme when I begin cooking the beef? Thanks.

What recipes in your family are done every year for the holidays (Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa) that bring back the best memories - and what is the memory that is attached to the recipe.

Post your recipe too!
Oh and my favorite was my Oma’s Christmas Goose she made with this apple stuffing. Ever since she passed away we haven’t had it, but next year when I get married, we’ll be doing it again :-)

Can anyone find me the russian recipe for Perryski?

January 31st, 2009
tink5t3r asked:

Hi there. I am searching for a russian recipe i think you call it Perryski (pronounced-Petty-scare). My Grandma use to make it all the time at family gatherings, now she has passed and I cant find the recipe. It is a dough or pastry type of food and you can fill them with meat(i think it was sausage meat) or potato. They are very nice (one you have one, you cant stop) I am also after a pickled cucumber recipe. Im not sure if this was russian or not so any will do. Thanks in advance!

Looking for a great Bulgogi recipe? Do you have a family recipe?

Lauretta R asked:

I would love to make Bulgogi for dinner tonight. One of our favorite restaurants makes an amazing Bulgogi dish. Do you have a family recipe? I have found many recipes on the internet but I would like a true family recipe. I want my dish to be authentic.
Thank you so much!
